  5. What is broker anyway?
  6.  
  7.        - Broker is a program that allows you to track your stock
  8.      purchases (up to 20 at a time). 
  9.         
  10.         - STORES STOCK DATA SO YOU DON'T NEED TO REMEMBER
  11.           all the gritty details.

  13.         - STORES DATES.  Sometimes we forget when exactly it 
  14.           was we picked up a stock.  Gawd, when did I buy ....?

  16.         - PERFORMS A NUMBER OF SIMPLE CALCULATIONS to do with
  17.           profit margins and commissions.  These calculations
  18.           can be usefull when deciding the price that you want
  19.           to achieve before selling.  Some of these calculations
  20.           take into account the current price of the stock, which
  21.           can be updated by you at any time.

  23.         - LETS YOU PRINT OUT YOUR FULL PORTFOLIO for use as a 
  24.           quick reference.  Or, you can send your portfolio to
  25.           a file instead (folio.dat), to be viewed by you later 
  26.           with a text editor.  This second approach can save a
  27.           lot of paper.

  29.         - broker has been written to be VERY QUICK AND VERY SIMPLE 
  30.           to use.  It is largely a book-keeping tool, so I have
  31.           avoided, with the exception of the opening screen, a lot 
  32.           of flashy and slow graphics.  The program works quickly so
  33.           you can use it, then get on with more important things.
